PERSONALITY:
I love quidditch, more than just about anything. But, that comes with a lot of things. My competitiveness gets in the way of friendships and relationships, and my jealousy does just about the same. I am a kind girl, I'm a completely loyal girl in every way. I may not have a lot of friends, but I love a good party and love socializing when I have time. I am super boy crazy, and that gets in my way of quidditch a lot. I've fallen off my broom like a total goob multiple times, because there is a cute boy watching. I get down a lot about my family, but I usually take it out on the pitch. I'm not the smartest girl around, but I try my hardest.
I chew my nails to the nub, I'd rather catch frogs than do my nails. I love sports, even muggle sports like baseball and basketball. I'm rough around the edges, but sometimes I do love to girl out, especially when it does come to boys. The biggest insult is when a guy tells me I'm 'one of the guys'. That totally means, 'Ella's not getting a date'. I'm not a gossiper, but I love to hear about gossip from others; call me nosey, I like to know what's going on. I'm an excellent secret keeper, unless you're about to jump off a cliff or do something stupid enough to ruin your life.
Phobias. I have a fear of twinkies. Anything that can outlive me in a landfill is dangerous. I guess hotdogs ought to be on this list as well. Clowns and dolls creep me out to no end. Not specifically dolls that are modern, but those antique dolls that close their eyes when you lay them down? In boys, I prefer blonds, but if you love quidditch and don't mind having a girl beat you at sports, you've just landed yourself a crush. I love clothes, believe it or not. Because of my parents, I usually make my own and try really hard to be unique. I'm not much into shoes though, a good pair of sneakers is all I need. All in all, I'm not really what you expect when you see a girl. But that's all right, I'm cool with hanging out with the cute boys too. *wink*

HISTORY:
When Ella was born, she was born in a small wizarding village on the outskirts of Ireland. Hidden from the muggle world, they maintained a small home for the first 3 years of her life. When her mother fell ill, they moved to Dublin to try muggle treatments. Eventually, her mother did recover and they decided to stay for quite sometime. When they decided to go back to the village, it was completely wrecked and gone. The shop her parents had built and established there, was completely burned to the ground. Needing to uproot and return to their home in Dublin, her parents decided to try and open a dual shop there, hoping that they could gain some much needed money and somewhat get back to how things used to be.
Davis attended Hogwarts and Ella eventually did as well. She joined the quidditch team and everything was wonderful for years. She was happy, and everything surrounding her seemed to be at peace, finally. When she returned home for the summer between her 4th and 5th years, things had changed dramatically. Her mother was ill again, and her family was afraid that she wasn't going to recover this time. With her mother unable to work, Ella and Davis spent the summer working at the shop. They made clothes, helped to maintain a greenhouse growing herbs, spices and plants to also sell. Ella also took a second job, when she could, waiting tables at a nearby cafe to earn some extra money. Slowly, her father became obsessed with potions, so much he rarely worked in the shop. To him, if muggle treatments couldn't save his wife, then there had to be a magical way to do so. Davis ended up running everything and Ella did as much as she could.
A few weeks before term was to start, Ella sat down with her mother and pleaded to be able to stay home. She didn't want to return to Hogwarts and miss time with her mother. Ella's mother insisted that the only thing that would give her peace was if Ella went back to finish her education. Worried about the financial state of her family, knowing that if her mother passed away while she was at school, her father would crumble, she went to Davis instead. He too, insisted, that Ella return to Hogwarts. Those two weeks to Ella were precious, and she spent as much time as humanly possible by her mother's side.
The decision to return to Hogwarts was the hardest decision she had ever made. She knew that her mother wouldn't have a lot of time, and she probably wouldn't see her mother alive again. She said her goodbyes, she received a locket, and she packed her trunk. Her brother scraped enough money for a train ticket to get to the train for Hogwarts, and she set off on her own, with a heavy heart.
Now, Ella is returning to school for her fifth year, attempting to balance school, quidditch and life. To be on the team, she has to keep her grades up, and her biggest fear is that she'll fail and have no chance to make it into a professional quidditch team- her only dream. Vowing to keep her focus, she returns for another year at Hogwarts. Whether she can keep her focus and not fall apart when it's most important...well...time will tell.

SAMPLE POST:
The pitch. So open, so freeing. Ella made her way onto the pitch with her broom in hand, gazing over the familiar terrain. The wind came in a cool breeze and a small smile came to her face as it lifted and twisted her hair. Taking her jacket off, she mounted her broom and flawlessly lifted into the air. This was truly the most free she'd felt in months. Circling the pitch, she sped up and tried new moves and maneuvers, trying only to impress herself. She didn't mind if anyone was watching, she just wanted to fly.
Being back was both pleasurable and bittersweet. She knew, at home, her family was suffering. As much as she wanted to be there, her mothers words continued to reel through her head, that all she wanted was for Ella to finish her education and fulfill her dreams. Her mother wasn't far from her heart at any time; the locket she was given dangled just over heart. At night, when Ella found it near impossible to close her eyes and sleep, she heard her mother singing in spanish; sweet lullaby's that talked about dreams, love, family and fortune. Those feelings couldn't be any further from reality, but Ella was still somehow comforted.
In the sky, she barrel rolled, twisted and turned, going in and out of the bottom of the stands trying to practice agility. After a few hours, Ella, out of breath, landed in the middle of the pitch. This pitch was the only other place in the world she sincerely felt at home. Sitting, she laid back and stared up to the sky, now starting to segway into a beautiful array of colors in a sunset. The sky filled with vibrant oranges, reds and golds. Soon, it became quite impossible for her to keep her eyes open any longer, and she drifted into a deep slumber.
Her slumber was disrupted when she heard the gruff voice of a professor behind her. Springing up, her eyes widened and she grabbed her broom.
"Sir, I'm sorry! I didn't mean t'fall asleep here. I was just practicin', and then lookin' at the sunset. I'm sorry-"
The professor just gave a sympathetic nod and told her to return back to the castle. Ella could only assume that her brother had written the school to tell them of her situation. She couldn't quite figure out if that upset her, or helped, but she slowly made her way back to the castle and to her room. Figuring she'd better study, she grabbed her potions book and sat on her bed, closing the curtains around her.
"All right, Ella...focus."
