Outside there's so much passing us by
All of the sounds
All of the sights
Over the earth and under the sky
Too much cold and too much rain
Too much heartache to explain
Who needs the world when I got you
Switch off the sun the stars and the moon
I have all I need inside of this room
Who needs the world when I got you

PERSONALITY:
Jolene is as reliable as someone can get. What is asked of her (politely and nicely), she will do. Not only that, she'll do it to the best of her ability. She's not a fan of last minutes issues such as having to hold a detention or covering for a colleague, but she will do it nonetheless. Lenie likes logic. Logic and sense make her feel calm and in control. She’s a realist. She knows her limits and while she might push them some times, Lenie basically sticks to what she knows she’s good at. She’s a very organised person. She keeps her things neat and tidy. If there’s a mess, she can sort through it very quickly. Lenie dislikes messes of any kind. That goes for every aspect of her life. She tends to listen to her head, rather than her heart. Her head makes more sense, as she often tells herself.
Lenie can appear cold to strangers and mere acquaintances. She doesn’t open herself up, revealing random facts about herself to just about anyone. Close friends and family members are lucky if they get any inkling of what she’s up to in her personal life if they’re not involved in it. Lenie can be affectionate when she wants to be. Her twin is possibly one of the few people whom Lenie lets herself get close to. Jolene is a considerate and tolerant person. She can handle much more abuse (verbal or otherwise) than is normal.
But then again, she’s also way too critical of herself. Being constantly berated about her own abilities when she was younger has left Jolene feeling inadequate about herself. Her self esteem isn’t crippling, but Jolene is prone to bouts of pessimism. She hates everything about herself on certain days. Although, she has gotten good at masking all that. Jolene gets restless easily and needs to be doing something, anything to occupy herself.

HISTORY:
Jolene Louise Sinclair is the older of the Sinclair twin girls by three minutes. The baby girls were born to Gaspard and Delphine Sinclair. The pair had been married for just over a year. Both worked in the French Ministry in the same department. That was how the sparks flew. Jolene was not a very loud child. She didn’t cry very much, didn’t give her parents much hassle. Lenie was content to be by herself with her own toys and colouring books. Her childhood wasn’t very eventful. Not until her sixth year. Her father had been assigned to England, to act as an Ambassador for the French Ministry. Her mother didn’t wish to go over to England. It was all good to go over there for short holidays but to permanently stay there? She didn’t want to. Jolene didn’t recall any fights, but there must have been several loud arguments between her parents regarding this matter. In the end, the Sinclairs moved to London.
In England, Jolene was pretty much the same. She did spend more time with the children in the neighbourhood, even if she scared them off with floating leaves and disappearing flowers. She didn’t forget that she wasn’t supposed to do such things in front of Muggles, but she couldn’t control it. Her father was very strict with them and expected only the best. Jolene could never meet up to his expectations and he voiced that out often enough. Her sister fared a little better. Jolene was not a daddy’s girl, it seemed.
When she turned eleven, Lenie got her letter to Hogwarts, alongside her sister. They didn’t know much of Hogwarts, having only been told of Beauxbatons. Her mother was not willing for them to go to Hogwarts. There should be a letter from Beauxbatons, she kept telling them. In the end, no letter was received and the girls were sent off to Hogwarts.
Lenie was sorted into Hufflepuff there. She didn’t mind, even if she had heard horrible things about the house on the train ride there. She wasn’t in the same house as her sister, but at least they still got to see each other every day. Jolene worked hard at her studies, almost too hard. But she still had time to notice girls. That’s right. Girls. While her sister was gushing about the cute boys in their year, Jolene was more interested in whether her room mate would freak out if she asked her out on a date. The answer was yes. Lenie managed to say it was a dare from her sister, but from then on, the girl did not ask anyone out on a date.
She came out to her sister in their fifth year. Over the summer, she told her parents. Delphine wasn’t too bothered. Gaspard on the other hand, was. He didn’t show it openly, but his remarks and actions were more than hurting for the young girl. Her grades suffered that year. She fell in love that year as well. That relationship helped Jolene in her confidence as a person. In her final year, her grades soared back up. But her father still left his mark on her. The thought of working in the Ministry did not appeal to Jolene, but her father always had high regards for the Professors at Hogwarts. Lenie got some experience teaching younger children for a year, taking an internship at the Ministry to gain more experience before applying for the post of a Professor when she was old enough.
But just as she got the job she wanted, her personal life suffered. The relationship that mattered so much to her fell apart. The girl left her for a man. Starting a teaching career at Hogwarts became her obsession. She threw herself into her work, reminding herself once again that her head makes more sense than her heart. It’s been two years since then and Jolene is quite pleased with what she’s accomplished. Except for the fact that she might be falling for a co-worker and those never end well. Or do they?

SAMPLE POST:
Oh, she did want to date him. Keegan wasn’t sure how he was going to handle this situation. He liked her well enough; he thought he had made that fact clear enough to her. But to actually date her? Be her boyfriend. Being there for her. Threaten to murder people who made her upset. Hex random blokes for staring the wrong way at her. Kiss and hug her whenever he felt like doing so. Randomly pop up beside her and laughing at the look on her face. There were benefits to being in a relationship. Not that he wasn’t in one. “I need to think about this.” He said, frowning. The fact that he had not directly said he had feelings for her escaped Keegan completely. In his mind, he was weighing the pros and cons of dating her versus dating Bertram.
Of course, the fact that she seemed to know something about her brother and was potentially blackmailing Declan was not working in her favour. “Horrid eyebrows?” Keegan couldn’t help but let out a laugh. Though he agreed with the surly nature part. Or perhaps he had just bumped into her on a bad day. First impressions weren’t everything. He didn’t get along with his brother’s wife at first. “Stark.” He said again, trying to wrap his mind around that fact. Keegan tried to imagine her and his brother kissing and quickly wiped that image out of his mind. “She’ll be in so much trouble.” Keegan muttered, thinking of what his sister in law would do if she found out.
“And he’s supposed to be the sensible one.” Keegan said, thinking out loud. “Promises, promises.” The man uttered, looking at Gen. In his mind, he wondered how long Gen had known about this. The school year had just been in session for over a few months. Had she known for that long a period? Was he just that blind? No, he wasn’t. It wasn’t as if he spent his every waking moment around Declan. When Gen said she had indeed been blackmailing Declan, Keegan exhaled noisily. “Seriously?” His disbelief evident in his voice. “Why?” He asked, before she spoke again. “Why?” Keegan repeated. “Because you got what you wanted? What exactly could you want from him?” The Hufflepuff shook his head. “And he actually gave into you.” Keegan said, more to himself than Gen.
