COME INTO MY WORLD
-------------------- SEE THROUGH MY EYES.
I kind of like how my parent's got together. All because of the courage from a friend. A really close friend at that, I went through most of my life referring to her as Aunt Ari. But no, my dad didn't need Ari to help him propose to my mum; he did just fine on his own. My mum was eighteen when her and my father were married. I'm not gonna go on from what Ari's told me about the wedding, I'll leave that to my parents. I was born a year later, on the 14 of March. I would like to say I had a normal childhood and the best part is, is that I can say that with an honest straight face. Oh yeah, I'm that cool. Oh my, look at that, my nerdness is coming out again.
Any ways, when I was two my parents gave me a little sister, then the next year a sister and another year later, a brother. Yeah, I have first born syndrome and it probably doesn't help that I still live at home. But hey, I'm eighteen not twenty. Living with my parents is completely understandable for now. I'm not complaining though; I have some pretty chill parents--though I'm sure that's just because I'm an adult now and can take "full responsibility". Hm. That still sounds weird. Full Responsibility, full responsiblity. Full responsibility. That doesn't exactly roll of the tongue for me. It sounds forced, almost. Right, anyways. I guess I could tell you a bit about my Hogwarts years, yeah? Let's start with first year.
Ah first year. The first year I was out of the house, and away from my little siblings. Now don't get me wrong, I love my siblings but they can bug the brains out of me. Any ways, I didn't really know a whole lot of people on the train to Hogwarts, a few family friends but most were obviously going to end up in houses like Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. I wouldn't have minded Venus being on the train with me, but she's a year younger so that was a bust. Well there was Kate Wood, she's two years older and had her group of third years. I was never really a kid to hang out with those that were too older than me, and at the time, an eleven year old and a thirteen year old was just a bit too far fetched. As soon as it was my turn to be sorted, it did not take the hat long to put me in Hufflepuff. I wasn't sure how my granddad reacted at first but I guess he had to be unbiased since he's the headmaster and everything. I didn't mind Hufflepuff; people were friendly and I had friends almost instantly.
Now second year, nothing really special happened. There was no hassle with trying to find my classes and there was still no interest in girls. So I think I just might skip over that year. Oh, now third year, I didn't just have my first girlfriend, I had my first three girlfriends. No, not all at once, my dad raised me better than that. There wasn't anything spectacular about the girls, oh wait, if there's a good chance they find out I say that, better rephrase it. There wasn't anything special about the relationships with the girls. They were very normal for a thirteen year old. There was kissing, there was hand holding but that was about it. We were all still rather innocent at the time and didn't want to cross lines.
Fourth year though, I did manage to snog my third girlfriend. And yeah, we managed to keep a relationship going through the summer. It was a bit easy, growing up at the Leaky I saw plenty of people from school come in and out. I did try to spend some time with Venus this year, only she had her group of friends and they were definitely not my cup of tea. Like don't get me wrong and all, Venus is like another sister to me, but when you hang around the Slytherins she hangs around, there's a slight splinter in between the friendship. Fifth year, I started hanging around Katie Wood, and that was fun. She was seventeen so she would apparate in and out during the summer and occasionally treat me to food that wasn't at The Leaky or Diagon Alley; and of course by then I'd already broken up with that one girl.
I think I might skip the next two years. I'm not exactly a kid to go off looking for trouble, nor do I really want to. I'm quiet content with being "normal" as society calls it these days. Yeah, a bit nerdy but what can you expect? I'm a Longbottom, we're sort of born to be on the weird side.
