Going all the way back to 2011, the Gibbs and Lupins have always had a rivalry between. This was more than a simple Gryffindor vs. Slytherin rivalry. Their personalities simply clashed. It was even heightened when Dorian started dating Victoire. That alone caused a whole commotion within the Weasleys and Potters, Teddy though, had been truly affected by this combination. Teddy went the distance to set up the fight between himself and Dorian. Teddy had been a decent enough dueler--where Gibbs was not--and could have won easily, but instead threw in the towel to make Dorian look like the bad guy.
Even with Victoire and Tabitha there was a rivalry. Theirs was a bit more unspoken and never displayed in a fight of any kind. Probably because it was Tabitha who disliked Victoire for no good reason. Victoire didn’t exactly hate Tabitha, even if she did flirt with Dorian while the two were dating. The rivalry between the two pairs would have gone with their kids to Hogwarts if any of the parents had a say about it. However, it seemed to have been the fuel for LUPIN to go a completely different direction.
LUPIN had always been a curious little lad. And when it came to the sorting ceremony his curiosity came close to a peak at the name "Gibbs" being called. His father had told him stories about a Gibbs and he wondered if they were the same Gibbs. They had to be in his opinion, even if there were going to be Gibbs cousins with the same last name. That entire first week of school, when LUPIN wasn't checking out the Shrieking Shack, he was hanging around GIBBS. Actually it was more like annoying the crap out of GIBBS--unintentionally of course. Over the years, LUPIN grew a crush on GIBBS and has even asked her out. GIBBS in return has said no, but still LUPIN has been a pest to her.
Just recently GIBBS has been taking a slight interest in LUPIN. Of course, she would never let on and still acts cold and harsh towards the boy. Can LUPIN catch on to the fact that GIBBS might have some feelings for him? Or will their respective mothers figure it out? Then, there is MCLAGGEN to deal with, with him being the bloke that GIBBS gives her attention to instead of LUPIN.
