Stay awake.
Get a grip and get out,
you’re safe from the weight of the world.
Just take a second to set things straight.
I'll be fine. Even though I'm not always right,
I can count on the sun to shine.
The dedication takes a lifetime,
but dreams only last for a night.

PERSONALITY:
Wild is the perfect term to describe Tamzin Lupin. There is something about the way she moves through her life that is just different. She takes what is thrown at her and rolls with the punches, unafraid of what might happen. Her impulsive nature keeps those around her on their toes. While she is no stranger to spontaneity, others usually find it difficult to keep up with her whirlwind lifestyle and her endless movement. However, with this way of life comes some consequences. Because Tamzin is so quick to act before she is to think about her actions, she suffers some setbacks when her actions don’t get her where she wished to go originally. She is quick in her decision making, preferring to simply do something than wait around and wait for something to happen to her.
Tamzin is dedicated to those close to her. She is unwaveringly devoted to them and them alone. She is known to be fiercely protective of her siblings, her parents, her cousins, her friends, and anyone else she has an affinity too, almost to an overexerting extent. To others, be them acquaintances, coworkers, or the average joe on the street, Tamzin could be considered slightly indifferent. She is not led by her heart, but rather her brain. This makes her brash to those she does not consider family- however, it is not out of dislike, it is simply her nature to be loving to those she knows and nonchalant to those she does not. With her cool exterior in place, romantic attachment is not exactly Tamzin’s forte. She is capable of loving, but not exceptional at expressing it when it comes to lovers. This has been her downfall in the past- Tamzin’s record of successful ‘relationships’ is depressing, while her record of flirtatious, casual encounters is impressive, in some respects. The Veela blood in her does have interesting effects…
Because of her harsh nature, many would think that Tamzin is not well placed in her current line of work. Tamzin is cultured and knowledgeable of the world around her, and she wishes to experience as much of it as she can. Her job at the ministry, as their ambassador to the France ministry, requires her to travel often, and this is a perfect fit for a young woman like Tamzin. Both her family background (her grandmother is French) and her job support her interest in international affairs and cultures of the world. Her intuition and clever decision making has made her noticeable in her line of work, giving her acclaim and respect among her bosses and coworkers. When it comes to her job, Tamzin is careful and respectful towards those she interfaces with. To her, its part of the job, so she keeps herself in check, preferring to keep the wizarding world at peace rather than let herself be what some would consider negative.

HISTORY:
Victoire Weasley was ecstatic when her first child was a girl. Because she was the spitting image of her mother when her mother was born, the child was given the Greek name Tamzin, which means ‘twin’. Another important similarity between Tamzin and her mother is the Veela blood that runs through both their veins. Fleur, Tamzin’s grandmother, became very partial to her after learning that she also inherited the Veela gene, just like her own daughter did. Fleur was always very present in Tamzin’s life, and was a major proponent of Tamzin learning French. The major reason Tamzin is so fluent is because her grandmother was always ready and willing to speak and practice with her.
Being the daughter of a metamorphmagus, the sister of another, with a werewolf brother as well was a very interesting way to grow up. Tamzin was raised to be very tolerable of differences among people, and she loved and appreciated the quirks of all of her siblings. As she started to get older and past her toddler years, it was apparent that Tamzin wasn’t the same bright, bubbly spirit that her mother was and is, as many expected her to be. Yes, there were many similarities. They both enjoyed being around people, and their families made them more happy than anything else in the world. However, Tamzin was more erratic in her words and actions, brutally honest even when it was a bit unnecessary, and had a fierce wit, that she wasn’t afraid to use at the playful expense of another.
Her Hogwarts letter came as it should when she turned eleven, and Tamzin couldn’t have been more ready to head to school. She was sorted into Gryffindor, which made her mother and father, both Gryffindor alums, very happy. She fit into the school atmosphere with ease, finding a close circle of friends and her way in the midst of all those first year discoveries. Having your mother as the Deputy Headmistress could be very stressful at times, but Tamzin made it quite clear to her mother that she wanted to maintain her independence while at school, and would definitely not appreciate being constantly checked up on. Though Victoire and her daughter have a near impeccable relationship, its down point was in Tamzin’s third year. Her mother, being the caring, protective person she is, was taking a very acute interest in Tamzin’s studies. Furious that she was not being taken seriously, the newly teen Tamzin threatened a transfer to French school Beauxbatons Academy, which she began to plan out. She could live with her grandmother and come home in the summers. However, the plans never turned out. Tamzin apologized for her harsh threats, and appreciated her mother’s respect for the rest of her Hogwarts years.
Though Tamzin was not a prodigy, she excelled in almost all her classes (another similarity between her and her mother- their intelligence and affinity to the subject of charms!). She allowed herself to ride along on her intelligence for her first couple years, but soon realized that in order to continue excelling she would have to put herself to her studies. To say that Tamzin was a party girl would be an understatement. She wasn’t a party girl in sleeping around or drinking way too much, but rather Tamzin loved to spend time with friends. After her homework was done, she would round up friends for the next adventure, be it the average party, a secret, crazy romp around the Hogwarts grounds, or pulling pranks on other houses. Tamzin was constantly moving from one activity to the next, her endless energy a source of fun and excitement for both her and her friends.
Sixth year, things changed a little. Emrys Burke appeared out of nowhere. He was older, he was a Slytherin, he was hot, and he asked her on a date. Tamzin was surprised, to say the least, but as her nature dictated, she decided to accept, not considering the repercussions of dating a Slytherin with a bad family reputation. She was intrigued. One date led to another, and the pair started seeing each other very exclusively. However, Tamzin tried her best to remain detached, even if subconsciously. Romantic love was a foreign subject for her. She’d never allowed herself to be vulnerable before; why should she give her heart and body to this Slytherin Burke? Each day passed, and she found herself feeling more and more vulnerable. Was she falling in love? The relationship, which started with a fiery, physical passion, was starting to grow into something much more emotional. Tamzin was letting herself give into this relationship with Emrys…but all good things come to an end.
Tamzin always hated Macmillan. She didn’t waste her time on bothering her, but Macmillan always seemed to get under her skin. Tamzin didn’t want to believe it when Macmillain told her that Emrys was dared to date her, just to prove a point about the impossibility of Gryffindors and Slytherins, and to make a joke out of Professor Lupin’s daughter. She tried to put Macmillan’s statements out of her mind, but she simply couldn’t. Approaching Burke- he couldn’t lie. It was all true. She didn’t regret slapping him, she didn’t regret walking out on him right then and there without turning back. But no matter what she tried, Tamzin simply couldn’t fall out of love that easily. Heartbroken, Tamzin moved through her seventh year, dedicated to her studies during the day, drinking away her sorrows at night.
It took a long time for Tamzin to recover from the heartbreak Burke bestowed on her, and she truly never really forgot about him. Three years out of Hogwarts, Tamzin was very set in her job at the Ministry, being the Ministry Ambassador to France, working the Department of International Magical Cooperation. Though her permanent residence is in London, Tamzin also has a small apartment in France because of her frequent visits for business. Will Burke find his way back into her life? Is she trusting enough to go back to him? Will the marriage to Macmillan ruin everything?

SAMPLE POST:
Telling her friends and family about her pregnancy had been a long and painful process for Juliet. Her parents were less than thrilled, but that wasn’t near the worst of it. One sister was disgusted, and they’d barely spoken recently, while the other was being supportive, but Julie couldn’t help and wonder if Cindy really did judge her terribly deep down. If these worries, about her sisters no less, weren’t enough, her once close friend group was falling apart around her. Leah and her relationship seemed beyond mending, and one of her closest friends, the father of her child, had proposed to her. The one relief in her life, Teddy, was with Victoire, who easily had comforted Leah before all else. Trevor had completely disappeared. If his parents’ deaths weren’t enough for him to handle, he certainly didn’t need to be around for all this. If not for Teddy, she surely would’ve gone insane. She secretly thanked Merlin for him day after day, especially for attacking Aiden even when uncalled for.
Perhaps harder still, was telling her boss. Fuller had never been very involved in the friendships and politics of his staff, but it was obvious that his eyebrows were raised at Juliet’s sudden pregnancy. She was only twenty two, soon to be twenty three, and she was pregnant without a ring on her finger? She was glad he didn’t ask questions, but she saw the news travel through the staff like wildfire. That’s where the judgment came from.
Day to day was becoming easier, though. The students, blissfully ignorant as most of them were, were happy for her. They were the little shining lights in her big mess of a life, and they always made each day she dreaded definitely bearable. As long as she was still working her job, the looming reality of the child inside of her could be evaded somewhat. She didn’t want to think about what would happen once she had to face it.
The lull of Quidditch season between scrimmages and actual matches meant fewer people in the Hospital Wing. Preferring the wide open room of the actual hospital room to her small office (she liked the large windows and the light that flooded through them), Julie had taken to sitting on one of the empty beds, spreading her paperwork and injury reports in front of her. Not used to many loud entrances, Julie jumped when Cindy burst into the Hospital Wing, quickly making her way over and wrapping her arms about her.
Julie realized she was grinning, and it was true- she was elated to see Cindy. It had been way too long, and the tone of Cindy’s greeting meant that she was excited to see her. At least there was no bad feeling laced between her words.“Hi!” Julie spluttered, putting a hand to her torso as she stood up, hugging Cindy once more, properly this time. “What…what are you doing here?! How are you?!”
