Hope is an extremely friendly person. She loves to talk to people and make new friends. She is a very sweet and kind person and always does her best to make people smile and just...make friends! She is the kind of girl who is loyal to her friends and family and can be very protective of them. She will stand up for them and not let people push them around. She is open-hearted and romantic. Ever since she was a little girl, she has dreamed about her perfect wedding...the perfect date and everything. She even has a book and a small box under her bed filled with all of the pictures and such for her dream wedding but no one knows about it.
She is stubborn when it comes to things that she is passionate about, like her dancing. If she gets into an arguement about something, she can be stubborn and won't back down if it is something that has really bothered her. She is really considerate of others and can be dedicated and hard working. She is the kind of girl that is patient and won't rush someone into doing something. Hope is the kind of girl that will wait around until someone is ready, no matter what. She is hardworking and driven and won't give up until she has gotten the job done.
history:
Hope Nola Penrose was born to Maggie and Andrew Penrose. Her parents met one another through their friends. They started to talk and hang out together. It wasn't until five years later that they married one another. Before the marriage though, their relationship was rocky. I guess you could say it was a love/hate thing. One minute they would be arguing and then the next they would be making out. Several times, they had broken up and then gotten back together before relizing that they didn't want to live without one another and decided to get married. Four years after the wedding, when they were settled with decent jobs and an okay home, they decided to have children. That is where Hope came into the picture.
Maggie owned and ran a little bookshop, hiring extra help so she could take off for a few months to be with her daughter. She would stop in here and there, just to check in on things and make sure that the bookstore was doing okay without her for the time being. When Hope turned one, maggie started to bring her daughter with her to work once in a while. On the days that she left her daughter at home, she hired a babysitter to come over and take care of her during the day. When Hope turned two, the bookstore was going down hill. It had been for a while but it was then that Maggie, her mother, relized that she needed to just close it down. That had been the hardest thing she had done. It was several months before Maggie found another job to help bring in money but it didn't last long. She had been there for only six months and she was let go along with several other people who worked there.
Since then, Maggie just stayed at home and took care of Hope. She enjoyed staying home and taking care of her daughter all the time. She would let Hope help her cook in the kitchen when she was old enough to walk and talk and such. When Hope started to walk, she loved to try and grab things, expecially things that she shouldn't have been taking. Little things, big things that were too heavy. Anything her little hands could get on and she always found it funny when she could get caught by her mom or her dad. After a while, Hope started to spend a lot of time at the neighbors house, playing with the daughter that they had. She would spend all day there at times and then her dad or her mom would come over and bring her home for dinner.
When Hope turned seven years old, her parents threw her a small party. Nothing big at all, as they didn't have the money for a huge party but it had always been just enough for Hope. Her friend next door and her parents had come over and her mom made her favorite meal. Not only that, there was cake and to Hope, that was all she needed. Maggie had always taught Hope to live with the little things that they had and to be happy. She had always told Hope that you didn't need nice, fancy, expensive things to live a happy life.
When it came time for her to go to Hogwarts, Hope had been extremely excited when she got her letter. She had been so happy to go shopping with her parents. She had seen this really nice school robe that she wanted but hadn't been able to get it because they didn't have enough. They had gotten some nice, second hand robes and books and then took her to get her wand. When it came time to get on the train and head off to school, Hope was excited but nervous at the same time. She was going to be away from her parents and what if she didn't make friends? Or get into the house she wanted?
Having found an empty compartment, she took a seat and waved to her parents as the train took off. She had planned on reading the entire ride but things changed when two people walked into her compartment and sat down. They started to talk to her and before Hope knew it, she had made two friends on the way to Hogwarts. She had gotten sorted into Gryffindor and was excited. She loved her first year at hogwarts. She had made friends and loved all of her classes. Hope had taken a liking to flying and loved her Transfiguration class.
All throughout Hogwarts, she had only had two serious boyfriends, both who ended up breaking her heart. Since then, she has gone on dates and flirted with boys but it had never turned into anything serious. She just hasn't found the right guy. When her seventh year came around, she had no idea what she wanted to do after Hogwarts. After she graduated, she spent two months looking for a job. When she finally got one, it didn't last. Hope went back on her hunt for a job until she finally got one as a waitress and Hogs Head. She got a small apartment, nothing fancy. It was run down and she had little inside of it but it's home to her and she loves it.
