PERSONALITY:
A relatively happy go lucky girl, Addison has the innate ability to make people laugh. She’s got a smile that can light up a whole room, and she knows how to make fun of herself. She has no problem making friends and is usually rather fun to be around, because she is really friendly and outgoing. While not particularly book smart, she has a lot of common sense and deals well with people. She keeps most of the friends she makes because she’s fiercely loyal and will do nearly anything for those she loves.
However, she is rather stubborn, and has a tendency to keep at things until she gets them exactly the way she wants them. A little OCD, she’s very particular about certain things; for example, she always tips to an even number when she goes out, (not like an even dollar, but she’ll leave a penny if the bill is 12.25, to make the cents even.) In addition, Addison has always been seen as ‘one of the guys’, which makes her rather self conscious about her womanhood. She never believes boys when they call her pretty and she definitely doesn’t see herself as any variety of a catch – in fact, she tries not to hang around with too many girls, as they make her feel inadequate.
Addison doesn’t do particularly well in school, coasting by and only taking necessary courses, because she has to. Her ultimate goal in life is to own a pub like the Three Broomsticks, where she can talk to different people all day long.

HISTORY:
When the first female Smith was born, her parents were overjoyed. She was their baby girl, and her father was especially pleased. He wanted a little girl to dote on and spoil, and he was happy that his son had a little sister to protect and take care of. However, things didn’t seem that way at the beginning. Quite the opposite, actually; Addison’s older brother had a strong distaste for her, he was jealous of the beautiful, bright blue eyed girl that was taking all the attention from him. It was a sense of resentment, more than anything. This resentment between the older brother and younger sister carried on through their childhood, and she wasn’t sure why. At the age of seven, the eight year old boy mocked Addison until she ran from him and his friends, crying for the first time since she was very young. When she finally ran all the way back to their country home, her tears were thick and plentiful – but it was only moments before that sadness turned to anger. It was then that she showed her first signs of magic, a very powerful magic that set a nearby tree completely aflame. This only made things worse; their parents were unbelievably proud, which only made her brother resent her more. By the time she was ten, things were worse than ever, and her brother left for Hogwarts. She had always tried to make him like her, but it had never worked, and she only wished that she could go with him and prove she could be his friend as well as his sister.
Despite the fact that her brother was never very good to her, Addison missed him, and tried to fill the void for her parents, as well as for herself, by becoming more and more tomboyish. Her father taught her to fly in the fall, and by the spring she was a quidditch fanatic. Her brother came home from school soon after she had mastered some very difficult flying moves, and she was excited to tell him; but he was far too cool to hang around his little sister now that he was a Hogwarts student. In April, though, she turned eleven, and so was off to Hogwarts herself the very next September. She was sorted into Gryffindor – which upset her, because she wanted to be closer to her brother. He resented her getting into the prestigious house, even more angry that she seemed to be the most important person at Hogwarts, too. He avoided her completely, after that, leaving Addison to fend for herself, which she did, making a few really close friends in her own house.
She became more and more passionate about flying and Quidditch as time passed, despite not getting a spot on the Gryffindor team, because the spots were all taken. She still tried out when there were trials, and she’s considered to be on the reserves, even if there was never an official position for it. She still aims to please her brother, despite having figured out that he all but hates her. In addition, Addi isn’t very academically gifted, and so hasn’t done well in school, a bone of contention with her parents. This difficult time with her family has made her seek out her other talents, which she’s having a very hard time finding. At this point in her life, she’s just trying to get through school so she can get involved in something that will make her truly happy.

SAMPLE POST:
Olivia wasn't necessarily a control freak, outside of the pitch. She actually had a really good, long history of rolling with the punches. However, she did like to have a certain level of control. That control meant not being dressed in a barely there shirt with a huge giraffe on it when she saw her ex boyfriend who she was still half in love with. She knew she shouldn't have still been in love with him; he hurt her so badly that she had lost her faith in men and her belief in love. But even still, she found herself wanting to impress him, wanting to seem like she was fine without him. Really, she missed him terribly - but she couldn't admit that.
She couldn't admit that to him, or to Rose, or to anyone else. Because Rose had watched her dissolve into a terrible, terrible crying mess that couldn't even get up for practice, never mind get anything done. Adrian cheating on her had left her completely devastated, and getting involved with him again was a terrible idea. But standing there, seeing him looking as good as he always did, in Quality Quidditch Supplies, Olivia had a feeling she had no chance saying no to him if he ever seriously wanted her back, even if all her friends and family would be annoyed by it.
"A new broom? Well, big surprise you're unable to stick with what you have - loyalty never was your strong suit" She answered, doing her best not to look him in the eye, knowing that it would only make him all the more appealing - he had dreamy eyes and looking at them would only lead her on a downward trail to his full, talented lips and that toned, perfect body. It was a bad idea all around, and she knew it. That was why she busied herself with looking around them, at the broom he was talking about. It was a good broom - a great broom - but she was the type of girl who knew what she wanted, and stuck with it. Her broom knew her movements. The relationship with her broom wasn't one that could be replaced so easily to just buy a new one.
As much as her comment was in jest, his ability to simply change brooms like that was an indication of his unchanging morals and his inability to remain faithful. He probably didn't see it that way, but she most definitely did. "And I know you aren't stalking me, Adrian, you never cared about me enough to do that." She added, because as far as she coud tell, it was true; if he had actually loved her, he wouldn't have cheated. In fact, she didn't think that he loved her at all, ever. But that was a whole other thing, wasn't it. Just talk to him in public, that was fine. She would be fine. Just be snide and he would hate her, and that would be the end of it, right?
