PERSONALITY:
First thing to know about Delilah? She’s shy. It’s not something that is expected of a Potter, considering the family history and how outgoing and extroverted most of them are. But being the only girl in her immediate family (not counting the numerous cousins), Delilah is not the outgoing person that her brothers are. True, with her family she’s a little more open and may speak up more, but otherwise she’s not the type you’ll find pulling people to explore the many secret passageways the castle has. Delilah is soft spoken. She’ll hardly raise her voice, unless her brothers have annoyed her to a point where she just can’t take it anymore. It’s not often, but it happens. She’s a good-natured person, and tactful as well.
Delilah is somewhat naïve. She trusts easily, not suspecting if anyone has any ulterior motive or if they don’t mean what they say. She’s also hesitant about speaking her mind or pointing out any mistakes that she spots in fear of hurting someone else’s feelings. Delilah is a very unassuming person. Some might consider her meek. She doesn’t have a temper, even if she does, she’ll more than likely run away from someone who has made her angry than to hit or throw a hissy fit at them. Delilah is very empathetic. She can sense moods and emotions and will find herself going along with the mood of whoever she is with.
The Potter girl, needless to say, is not a partier. And she can’t hold her alcohol, as she found out that one time when she took a few gulps of Firewhiskey at home. She’s never been in a relationship (probably because Theo will hunt down the guy who hurt her). Flirts with boys are inevitable, but she’s holding out for someone special. Of course, she’s had lots of crushes. Also, she’s more than willing to let her friend have the guy if she’s interested in him as well. That’s Delilah for you, always putting others in front of her.

HISTORY:
The Potter name in the Wizarding World is more or less one of the more famous one. Delilah grew up in relative comfort. There was no war, no dark wizard threatening to take over the world. She was the second child and only daughter born to James and Daniella Potter. Delilah was a rather quiet child from birth. Her mother probably had the easiest time looking after her. After all, with three brothers, Delilah didn’t exactly have things in common with them as she grew up. She was mostly left to her own devices, except when her youngest brother would come and bother her. Or when Theo would order her to do something for him.
The first time Delilah went to her first family gathering with the huge extended family she had, she was scared. There were so many people. Was she related to all of them? Of course, her mother brought her around, telling her who was who. Not forgetting the family friends, Delilah knew a whole lot of people growing up. She forged a friendship with most of them. It would grow useful when she went to Hogwarts. And to Hogwarts she did go. There was no doubt in anyone’s head that she was a Squib even if she didn’t have any major magical happenings in her childhood.
She was sorted into Gryffindor. Delilah did have a slight fear of entering into Hufflepuff, because she did seem suited for it. Not that there was anything wrong with Hufflepuff. But the Sorting Hat knew her better than the then eleven year old apparently and placed her in Gryffindor. She didn’t exactly make a splash in the social scene of Hogwarts, but Delilah was more than content to go about that way. Quidditch was not that big an obsession to her, as it was to her father and godmother, Cindy McLaggen. But Delilah knew enough about the sport. After all, she wanted to make the two parental figures in her life happy right?
Now, it’s time to embark on another year in Hogwarts. Whatever could come of it?

SAMPLE POST:
Serena was alone in The Three Broomsticks. It didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel right because everyone else was in the company of someone and the table she was at could seat at least four people. That meant sooner or later, someone was going to approach her, ask if they could sit and then talk to each other about embarrassing stuff about their personal lives which she would rather not hear. Serena was pretty sure they did that on purpose so that she would leave the table. Yeah, it had happened to her once. Or twice. Or more times than she could count. No, just twice. Serena made sure to choke herself on her Butterbeer before she left those people alone.
If only her dorm mates had not decided at the last minute to get some homework done, she would be here with them. Yes, there was that essay due on Tuesday, and yes, they had their O.W.L.S this year. But a break was necessary some times. Serena was hardworking, but she knew that if she continued studying twenty four hours a day, she was going to go crazy and earn herself a permanent room in Saint Mungo’s. So she was here alone in Hogsmeade, on a Saturday. She did have a Potions book in her bag though. Just in case she got bored.
In the mean time, the brunette looked around, hoping to maybe spot someone she knew whom she could talk to. Someone she knew and was on good terms with. What was the point in seeing someone who hated her? No point at all. Serena ran her finger around the rim of her Butterbeer mug as she spotted someone heading towards her. No. Maybe he was meeting someone at the next table. Please be meeting someone at the next table. She thought. Serena smiled slightly when he greeted her. Of course he wasn’t. He did have a nice smile and looked good. And he was also a former Slytherin who left Hogwarts last year. “Only if you promise me you’re not meeting your girlfriend. Because I don’t want to hear all sorts of personal details about two people I hardly know.” She said, looking up at him.
