PERSONALITY:
Sydney is…Well, she’s determined and stubborn, for the most part. If she wants something, she’s going to go after it with all she has. She doesn’t really much care for blood status, despite being a pureblood herself and sees no reason why she can’t associate with whomever she wants. This has probably come about due to her parents attitudes and to be honest, it’s something that Sydney is quite fond of, having been raised in such a manner.
She’s nice enough to everyone and believes in just having a good time as much as possible. If you ask her a question she’ll give you as truthful an answer as she can manage at the time. However, if you happen to get on her bad side you’re in for quite the experience because she’s rather talented at making people feel bad about things they’ve done and if you don’t feel badly enough to apologise or at least talk it over with her, she’s the kind of person who is fond of throwing stuff and that stuff may or may not just be hexes.

HISTORY:
Sydney was a rather lucky child, born into a family that loved her for who she was, no who she would possibly be. She had a good childhood, growing up on the outskirts of London on a small block of land where she was free to have a good upbringing. The fact that her parents were both magical was never hidden from her and there was never any doubt that Sydney too would one day be a witch and find herself off to attend Hogwarts as well. How could there possibly be doubt when even from a young age both her and her older brother showed signs of being able to cast spells and do magic.
Growing up out in the fresh air was something that made Sydney love wide open spaces. This, however, doesn’t mean that she’s not a fan of the busy London streets. She spent quite a bit of time wandering them when her parents took her into town to do various things. She spent quite a bit of time mixing with the muggle children, although this is something that never phased her in the least, despite knowing she was different from them. Even from a young age she was taught that she had to keep this fact a secret, however, despite the fact that she never understood why at first.
At the age of eleven, however, Sydney soon left all that behind her, at least for most of the year, and started her education at Hogwarts. So far the last six years have been as normal as they can be in Hogwarts. She’s gotten detention, had lovers, been caught doing things she shouldn’t be doing, snuck around after curfew and done everything that’s been done before, not that that worries Sydney in the least. No, she’s simply enjoying her time here before she has to go out into the big wide world next year.

SAMPLE POST:
Sydney was fond of the Whomping Willow, all truth be told. It wasn’t because she felt the need to terrorise the poor tree, or annoy it in any manner, but rather because she actually appreciated it. She figured that the amount of students who felt the need to terrorise and annoy it far exceeded those who actually appreciated the tree over the years although that wasn’t why she liked it either. This wasn’t a case of being different or pitying some giant, thrashing tree. No, Sydney’s appreciation went far deeper than that, was far more logical.
The reason that Sydney liked the Whomping Willow was because she felt it was a logical tree itself, and Sydney liked to think she was logical. That, of course, and the fact that she could relate the tree back to Quidditch, one of Sydney’s biggest passions. See, the tree sat there all quiet and peaceful, seemingly like any other willow, until it was provoked and then it attacked, lashing out at whatever had disturbed it from it’s peace. As for being able to relate the tree to Quidditch, that part was quite simple. She found herself to be a rather peaceful little thing, until you put her on the Quidditch pitch and then she was flying around like a bat out of hell trying to get the quaffle as much as she could and doing almost anything in her power to get it and get it away from the other team. Yes, these were the reasons that Sydney liked the Whomping Willow.
Today, however, Sydney wasn’t looking to relate herself to the tree, or to provoke it like anyone watching on might be thinking. No, today Sydney was simply looking for somewhere quiet to sit and something to consume her time for a little bit and so she’d taken a seat far enough from the massive tree that she was out of it’s reach before settling into simply watch it with curious eyes. A few times a bird flew too close and got swatted by one of the many vicious branches, but mostly the tree remained calm and Sydney simply watched, enjoying the peace and quiet.
