FLINT and MONTAGUE have had the term of "Best Friends for Life" since they met each other on the train back in first year. They both had a line of Slytherins on one side of the family and knew how large they and their siblings were on the oddball scale. Both were also very bright and had the same interest in many hobby areas. All that pressure of thinking that they would be stuck in different houses with people they don't know fled after MONTAGUE joined FLINT at the Ravenclaw table.

Fastforward three years. In their fourth year, both MONTAGUE and FLINT started taking interest in the opposite sex. FLINT, more so than MONTAGUE. For a while, MONTAGUE was okay with FLINT's sudden habits. She had no romantic interest in him and had an older brother; she had a good idea as to how boys thought. Her original plan was to just nod and smile whenever he would go on about his latest girl. Being his best friend, that's what she's suppose to do, right? Well, everyone has their faults and MONTAGUE is no exception.

Speed up to summer; MONTAGUE was visiting Diagon Alley with her mum. They stopped for something to eat at The Leaky Cauldron. LONGBOTTOM was helping his father, Leroy, out and waited on the two. MONTAGUE took an interest in him almost immediately. Growing up with an outgoing mother such as Dominque, MONTAGUE had no issues with going up and formally introducing herself to LONGBOTTOM. They already knew each other's name--seeing as they're the same age--and it also turned out that they both took interest in things such as Herbology and History of Magic.

Idea time. What if MONTAGUE could come up with a way to get FLINT to not talk about the girl he was last with? She had already asked him, but that had done absolutely nothing. So, plan B, make it seem like she's with a guy by talking about him all the time. Enter LONGBOTTOM. MONTAGUE has told him about how annoying FLINT is when it comes to girls. LONGBOTTOM agreed to let FLINT think that him and MONTAGUE were a couple.

Is FLINT going to take a hint? Or is MONTAGUE going to get in over her head with LONGBOTTOM? And what's LONGBOTTOM going to do if FLINT corners him and starts asking him about MONTAGUE?
