PERSONALITY:
William is an outgoing and (some would say) overconfident guy who always seems to look on the bright side of things. He loves playing pranks and causing mischief, but it’s just for fun and never downright cruel. In fact, he loves having fun and can usually be found laughing and joking about something or other. However, he is also both loyal and dependable, and is the kind of person who will always be there to stick up for a friend in need. That doesn’t mean he isn’t ever selfish, though, and he is undeniably stubborn and completely unwilling to admit that he’s wrong, even when he is. Combined with his short temper, this means he’s prone to getting into arguments or even fights with people.
He is still a kind person, though, and with his bright and optimistic outlook on the world, it is easy for him to get to know people. He gets close to people easily and has a lot of friends, but doesn’t know half of them as well as he probably should and is rarely the one to take initiative when it comes to hanging out. Due to this, there are a lot of people he calls ‘friends’ he doesn’t really talk to much. The ones he truly cares about, though, are people he is willing to give everything to. When it comes to girls, he falls in love very easily, but it hardly ever lasts for more than a few weeks, if that. His relationships never last long and are rarely meaningful, but still, he has a strange notion of this is the one every single time.
Fiercely protective of his family, William could definitely be considered both courageous and chivalrous (or foolhardy) in times when he has to act. At other times, however, he has a tendency to slack off, and his work is hardly ever done on time unless some kind soul is nice enough to remind him of it. A bit absent-minded, he has a tendency to forget things, though he is always genuinely sorry when this happens. Apologizing isn’t something he’s very good at, though, so he usually pretends everything is all right and hopes the offended party just goes along with it.

HISTORY:
William was the third child born to Victoire and Teddy Lupin, born almost exactly one year after his older brother Romulus. Already in his infancy, it was easy to see that he was a metamorphmagus. When he was upset, his hair would often turn a bright shade of red, and since his moods were conveniently color-coded, it wasn’t too hard for his parents to figure out what to do to make him happy. Of course, it did make it difficult for him to deal with muggles, since spontaneously changing hair and eyes were not something they were used to. Therefore, as a child, William very rarely interacted with non-magical people. Since he was a member of the ever-growing Weasley clan as well as having three siblings, however, that did in no way mean his social life was limited, and he was surrounded by people at almost all times.
His childhood was as normal as it could be, considering his older brother was a werewolf and his mother and sisters all had veela blood in them. He was understandably jealous when Tamzin and later Romulus got to go to Hogwarts while he had to wait, but soon enough, the year he turned eleven, his own acceptance letter arrived and he got to go on the Hogwarts Express with his older siblings. Like them, he was sorted into Gryffindor, which made him very proud as he knew both his parents had been Gryffindors as well.
He was a good student in his first three years and did well in most subjects, but by his fourth year, he had figured out there were other things to be doing, like pranking the professors and running exploring around the castle. That was also the year he discovered that girls weren’t completely icky and had his first girlfriend. It lasted a very brief amount of time, though, as he soon fell for someone else instead. He never saw himself as a player, though, since he always had genuine feelings for the girls he went after. Now in his sixth year, he’s hoping to be a bit less easily distracted by his crushes. His schoolwork, on the other hand, is still not his top priority.

William knew he ought to be in bed by now, but following rules like that had never really been his thing. Curfews were, in his opinion, a tiny bit ridiculous. After all, he was sixteen now, not some two year old kid who was going to get lost between the living room and the kitchen of a small apartment. Okay, so he realized that was a pretty bad comparison when talking about a place as huge as Hogwarts, but the point remained. He could take care of himself, and anyway, what could possibly happen that was so dangerous they couldn’t walk around at night here? It was a ridiculous rule that had probably been written a thousand years ago, because it certainly wasn’t relevant now.
The truly annoying part of it, though, was the amount of people who did not break the rules. That meant he was left wandering by himself, which wasn’t really all that interesting. Hogwarts was an interesting place, sure, but he had been here for five years already and honestly felt he’d seen most of the spectacular sights here. He probably wouldn’t have if he hadn’t caught a glimpse of the old Marauders’ Map once in a while, but he had, so that meant he’d explored even some of the lesser-known rooms around the school. Tonight, though, he was headed up to the clock tower, simply because there was something about the place he found fascinating. Maybe it was how it always seemed quiet, except for the times the clock chimed. Maybe he just liked the place and didn’t really need a reason.
As he got to the top of the stairs, he spotted another figure there. Immediately, he brightened up. That meant he wouldn’t have to be a complete loner anymore. When he recognized the girl, his smile grew wider and he walked over to her, quietly so she wouldn’t hear him. Then he bent down, put his hands over her eyes and whispered ”Guess who?” Maybe trying to scare Kaylynn wasn’t such a great idea, but he didn’t think she’d be too upset about that. After all, if she was going to be upset with him, she simply had too many other reasons for this one to make sense. Why she still spoke to him at all was beyond him, considering he’d broken up with her for one of her friends, but it didn’t matter. He was just glad she did.
