PERSONALITY:
Liora is sweet, friendly and loves making new acquaintances. She is the kind of person who always seems to have a smile on her face, and she laughs at just about anything. The absolute last thing on her mind when talking to others is whether or not they’re rich enough or have the right blood status to spend time with her. Although she respects the rules and does her best to follow them, her curiosity often gets the better of her, and she has a knack for getting into trouble. Sweet and innocent as she is, few actually think she could ever be a troublemaker, which makes her rarely have to deal with the consequences of her actions. This has made her believe she can get away with practically anything, so perhaps she is a bit too confident.
Liora’s negative emotions usually aren’t very durable, as she is generally quite laid-back. While her anger or disappointment can be intense when it first flares up, she doesn’t stay upset for long, and isn’t too proud to apologize. In her eyes, anyone can be redeemed, and although she is undeniably naïve in these beliefs, her idealistic and optimistic view of the world cause her to be a generally happy person. It is her earnest belief that there is no sin that cannot be forgiven or a wrong that cannot be turned right, so she sees no reason to feel miserable over long durations of time. What is more common for her in times of conflict is to simply pretending that nothing ever happened, and just continuing with her positive outlook on life and try to make everyone involved forget there’s been a problem.
She is not a genius by any measurement, but is instead a wonderfully creative girl whose main medium of expression is art, whether it be visual art, music or even dance. She is hardly ever bored since she is always able to think of something to spend her time on, and she likes to make sure everyone around her is happy as well. In fact, she is quite the ray of sunshine; spontaneous, generally cheerful and occasionally hyperactive. Like any good Hufflepuff, though, she doesn’t switch from project to project at the drop of a hat and makes sure to follow through the things she sets her mind to.

HISTORY:
Liora was the first child born to Zoticus Zabini, the only son of the wealthy Zabini family, and Gwendolyn Selwyn, sister to a woman who would later become the Minister’s wife. The two met at the Ministry where both worked, and although they weren’t exactly in love, it made sense for them to marry because they were both wealthy, ambitious purebloods. With a family like this, it was no surprise that Liora grew up with everything she could ever want. She loved her parents, and was especially close to her father, who always gave her anything she wanted. Her brother, born when she was only a year old, was closer to their mother, and because of this, the siblings rarely had to fight for attention.
Growing up, Liora attended a plethora of fancy parties and it was normal for her parents to discuss politics over the dinner table. She never quite understood what was so fascinating about either, though, and would usually zone out into her own little world. Her highly intelligent, ambitious and politically aware parents (and most other members of the Yaxley and Zabini families) found this lack of interest to be rather peculiar, but they accepted it, leaving her to her imagination instead of pressuring her into being something she was not. What set her apart even more from her family was the fact that she was a metamorphmagus, a trait she absolutely loved.
She received her Hogwarts letter the same year as her cousins Hera and Carmenta, but they were sorted into Ravenclaw and Slytherin respectively. Slytherin was the most common house for members of either house, while Ravenclaw was a respectable second option. Liora, however, was sorted into Hufflepuff. Considering her personality, that made perfect sense, but her parents still seemed rather taken aback, and although they didn’t actually say it, she could tell they were relieved when her brother was sorted into Slytherin the following year. During her first year, the fact that she had disappointed them bothered her, but she grew to accept it and became quite fond of her house.

SAMPLE POST:
The thought of Dawlish being set on fire was one that very nearly made Nimue laugh out loud, but she managed not to. That would be rude, even though he was a complete jerk and really deserved to have her laugh right in his face. There wasn’t anything to do about this, though, she reminded herself for the umpteenth time as she looked at Callista. It wasn’t the tiniest bit strange that she was angry with the so-called man who hurt her best friend like this, and Liz was so good at pretending he was an amazing person it only annoyed her more. Still, there was no argument about just what he deserved now that it was just the two of them, and in a way, that was a relief. She’d be truly worried the day Liz felt the need to defend this awful person even in private, because that would just be messed up.
Defense Against the Dark Arts essay? Blah. That sounded like the most boring thing in the history of anything, ever. Well, except for the Potions essay that was mentioned only a moment later. In a way, Nimue admired her friend’s dedication to schoolwork and other equally necessary (and dreary) things, but on the other hand, it was so boring. They were different, though, always had been, and that was fine. At least Nimue sometimes got to take a look at notes and such when she was running very late with assignments, which she was grateful for or she’d probably be failing most her classes. Sure, she was a clever girl when she put her mind to it, but most of the time, things like schoolwork simply weren’t motivating enough. It would probably have helped if she wasn’t so sure she’d just be married off after Hogwarts anyway, but of course, that was her duty.
That didn’t mean she was happy to have Liz remind her of it, though, and she stuck her tongue out at the other girl. ”I wouldn’t be here making pleasant conversation if I was betrothed,”she said, rolling her eyes slightly. She would accept it (or at least pretend to outwardly), but she would in no way be happy. The idea of not being able to choose her own future, to have to marry someone who might treat her as badly as Dawlish treated Liz… It was frightening, to say the least. She wanted to say she wouldn’t put up with it, but that was a lie. She knew she would, because it was what everyone expected. Her parents weren’t happy, Liz wouldn’t be happy with Dawlish, and Nimue probably wouldn’t be happy with whoever she married either. ”No, I prefer not thinking about that too much,” she said with a sigh, then added, ”Isn’t it odd that Andromeda isn’t betrothed yet, though? I mean, she is a Black. You’d think every pureblood family would want their son to marry her.”
