PERSONALITY:
Ash has always been an outgoing and strong willed kid, he’s always been willing to stand up for what he believes in whether it is likely to end in detention or in fisticuffs he doesn’t care. This however, isn’t helped by his obvious opinionated nature. Though he always showed an interest in the hobbies of his friends, Ash has – of late – become much more prone to giving into peer pressure, everyone thinks that the underlying reason for this is his desire to be accepted for his true self.
Though Ash has been bullied and received lots of harsh remarks about his identity the youngster always found a way to keep his head up high and if needs be send a casual hex in the offenders direction as he passed them by in the castle. One of Ash’s main issues in life is his strained relationship with his parents and his continuous battle for acceptance. This fuels his hot headed nature as he has much pent up anger and frustration.

HISTORY:
Ash Mason Talbot was initially born Aishe Gabrielle – a female. Though Ash always felt different, trying to embrace the gender that he had been born Aishe did as her mother wanted at first dressing in the clothes that were chosen for her by her parents. The true desire and feeling that he had been born in the wrong body was torture for Ash and soon he pushed his ‘tom boy’ nature out into the open, joining in with his brothers activities and being seen as ‘one of the lads’. Though at first this made Ash feel somewhat better about his confusion situation it didn’t fill the void.
Hoping that Hogwarts would help on the road to discovery Ash was placed into the house of Gryffindor still under the name of Aishe. As puberty hit Ash everything became unbearable and three years in after struggling to cope with the mixed up emotions and fear of what his family may think – Ash came clean. Though his older brother Merlin having just been removed from the house for admitting his sexuality – Ash knew that there was no time like the present, his mother cried and his father shouted. But Ash stood his ground, begging for acceptance.
Nearly being thrown from the house Ash continues to live a lie within the house of his parents, though with the help of magic, hormones and his brothers understanding, Ash has been living as a male Gryffindor for the last two years – and finally feels his own person. The pressure from his parents though, is still as unbearable as ever and Ash is finding it hard to cope. Recently he has taken to studying transfiguration, curious about the effects that such spells could have on him, both Ash and Merlin are working out a way for him to move out of their parents home – before they drive him to self destruct.
